looksoftware Joins Midrange Alliance Program (MAP)

Melbourne, Australia – April 8th, 2005looksoftware today announced that it has joined the Midrange Alliance Program (MAP). The MAP is a community-driven organization that provides a roadmap for midrange computing environments, such as IBM's AS/400, iSeries and i5 servers. The Alliance includes software companies, service providers and hardware manufacturers who can help customers to integrate and enhance their midrange investment, as well as transform it to deliver more business value at lower cost.

looksoftware’s Marcus Dee commented, "We expect most of our customers and partners will benefit from our participation in the MAP. We are genuinely excited about Microsoft’s commitment to providing increased interoperability between various platforms and technologies. Successful integration of .NET technologies with iSeries applications will deliver high reuse of iSeries applications and provide more options to our mutual customers."

"looksoftware is recognized globally as driving many successful iSeries modernization projects," said David Delisi, Product Manager, Developer and Platform Evangelism Group at Microsoft Corp. "We are pleased Microsoft technologies have contributed to that success. We recognize looksoftware’s dynamic architecture and support for smart clients and composite applications help iSeries customers get more from their existing investments."
